The Town of Joliet provides a cardboard recycling dumpster that is located behind the Joliet Country Market. Please break down all boxes that you place inside it. If you don't break them down it drastically reduces the dumpster capacity and it costs more money in the long run to empty partial dumpsters that could hold more but are filled with boxes that aren't broken down.
It's home improvement season! Please remember that per the below cited town ordinance, you may need a building permit for projects within the town limits of Joliet. Please check with town hall prior to the start of any projects to make sure you are following required ordinances.

Sec. 13-2-01. - Zoning permit required.
A zoning permit shall be required for any construction, reconstruction, addition, relocation of a structure, or change of land use, fences and for permanent signs of all kinds. Interior modifications of structures, and any other renovations that do not increase the floor area of a structure or cause expansion of the structure in any way, are not subject to zoning permits. Zoning permits shall be applied for on a form provided by the Town of Joliet, and are reviewed according to procedures established by the town.
